This cabin was purchased to be used as a garden store and potting shed that looked good as well as being in-keeping with the quaint village location complete with the personally selected cedar shingle roof
Nations Garage Ltd
An MOT Station for Nations Garage, Solihull was designed to meet UK Building Regulations. This fully galvanised steel building had 80mm composite panels on the roof and 60mm composites on the walls as insulation along with a 60 minute fire rating. The columns were fire proofed as well so to ensure the building was fully compliant.
The VOSA Inspector commented that he hadn't seen a better MOT Station and was most impressed especially as it was such a light working environment inside.
Fifield Polo Club
DSD supplied and erected a steel frame building, 21m x 16m with a 1.2m overhang on one side.
The roof was insulated with 80mm composite panels as an alternative to cement fibre so to regulate the internal temperatures for the valuable polo ponies throughout the summer and winter months. As Fifield Polo Club was expanding, this building allowed for the stabling of 32 additional polo ponies.
Vivary Park Golf Club
A timber cabin was designed and built in accordance with the specification set by Taunton Deane Borough Council in Somerset.
This building was 140 sq m and provided a new Golf Pro Shop, office, toilets and Sandwhich Bar for the Club in the middle of Taunton in Somerset.
DSD supplied and erected the Cabin to meet all UK Building Regulations. A Wood Treatment Programme was developed using superior products to protect and enhance the building. We also included a Fire Proofing treatment. Disabled access and facilities were also incorporated into the design and build programme.
DSD were commissioned to supply and erect a building as well as clearing the site and carrying out all the groundworks for a steel building, 16m x 9m.
This building was in a private yard and had to mirror, adjoin and blend in completely with an existing agricultural building that was going to be used for equestrian purposes.
Untreated Yorkshire boarding was applied as side cladding to the building. As this wood would look very new compared to the existing building we sourced a vine root based product from Norway traditionally used on log cabins, to give an ‘aged’ effect.
Over a period of 12 months this treatment would wash off and allow the natural ‘aged’ look would come through. We laid drains and concrete floors throughout the building as well as constructing a feed store and tackroom. Lodden internal stables were installed along with back stable windows for added ventilation.
DSD constructed an open fronted, double garage and store, 9m x 6m.
This building was designed to allow for larger vehicles to be stored as well as offering the opportunity of adding roller shutter doors for added security at a later date if required. A Wood Treatment Programme was created in conjunction with the client to enhance the appearance of the wood so to complement the stone used on his recently developed barn conversion
